This reminds me of the convicted felon J Michael Levesque former West Warwick mayor and disgraced former Chairman of the Rhode Island Republican Party who stole thousands of dollars from the West Warwick taxpayers. Republican Attorney General Jeff Pine cut a sweetheart plea deal were Levesque got NO JAIL time and 1 year probation. (Jeff Pine also had a sweetheart plea deal for Republican Ed DiPrete )

Obviously neither of these two has any real sense of morality, which is unfortunately pretty much par for the course when it comes to politics, especially here in RI.
Just look at Moreau's lawyer, the not-so-honorable former Speaker of da house William J. Murphy.
It takes one to know (and represent) one.
I think the worst part of the entire thing is that I'm not sure whether these guys REALLY believe they did any "wrong". Sure they skimmed a little off the top, but is that just part of the perks of the job here in RI?
What's wrong with that?

And you're right Patrick, it's embarrassing.
Just like our Governor the other day talking about how "marriage equality" is going to be some huge economic boost for the state.
Just like the latest report where RI was what? 46th in teacher abscenteeism?
It's embarrassing to say I live in this state.
A growing part of me is hoping that my company gets sold and we have to move out of state.

The latest report actually had RI as worst in the U.S. (#1) for teacher absenteeism, but who's counting?
